On this page
Current status
- Last verified: October 16, 2026, against official Rockstar pages only.
- Official sources checked: official screenshots (alt text), Rockstar Store (Vintage Vice City Pack).
- On our site: Ocean View Hotel location page. It isn't one of the 38 map cards yet, so there's no place-card link. Use the Ocean Beach card for the nearest pinned context.
- Map caveat: the satellite-style base map, roads and place names on /map are unofficial until launch on November 19, 2026, and every pin is approximate.
What Rockstar shows
The evidence is one official screenshot caption (Confirmed): Jason and Lucia standing outside the Ocean View Hotel, holding handguns, with the '55 Vapid Stanier parked behind them.
The Stanier is the car from the Vintage Vice City Pack, which the Rockstar Store describes as a "'55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage alongside the world-famous Ocean Beach." Rockstar hasn't published any written description of the hotel beyond the alt text. Our Vintage pack guide covers the bonus.
Why the name matters (franchise history)
In 2002's GTA Vice City, the Ocean View Hotel in Ocean Beach was Tommy Vercetti's first safehouse, the place every player started. Reusing the name in a "Vintage Vice City" screenshot is a deliberate nod (Analysis). It fits the other returning names: Ocean Beach, Washington Beach, and the Vercetti name on the Ultimate Edition revolvers.
Where is the Ocean View Hotel? (Analysis)
The caption doesn't name a district. Two clues point toward Ocean Beach: the 2002 hotel was there, and the Stanier pack mentions "the world-famous Ocean Beach." That makes Vice City, probably Ocean Beach the likely answer. Our data records it as Likely Vice City in the notes, but with no official parent region, so we don't pin it. Is it a safehouse again? Not confirmed.
