Editorial Policy & Standards
Last updated June 28, 2026
GTA6Home's reputation depends on getting things right. This page explains the standards every piece of content is held to, how we source and verify information, and how to tell us when we've made a mistake.
Our standards
We publish information that is accurate, sourced, current, and clearly written. We would rather publish less and be right than publish fast and be wrong — especially while Grand Theft Auto VI is still being revealed and misinformation spreads quickly.
Our team & expertise
Our content is written and edited by people with extensive, hands-on experience with the Grand Theft Auto series. Every article carries a byline linking to the author's background. Editorial direction is overseen by our founder and editor-in-chief, Marcus Reyes.
How we create content
- Research — we gather information from primary sources first (see below).
- Write — a knowledgeable author drafts the page, citing sources.
- Review — an editor checks facts, clarity, and sourcing before publication.
- Publish — with a clear title, description, author, and date.
- Update — pages are revisited as Rockstar reveals more or the game is patched.
Sourcing
In order of priority, we rely on:
- Official Rockstar sources — trailers, the Rockstar Newswire, official screenshots, and press materials. These are our ground truth.
- Hands-on testing — once the game is playable, we verify stats and mechanics in-game.
- Reputable outlets — established gaming publications, cited and linked.
- Verified community findings — only when corroborated, and clearly attributed.
How we label confidence
Because much of GTA 6 is not yet official, we tell you how sure we are. Where it matters, claims are labeled:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Officially stated or shown by Rockstar / Take-Two. |
| Reported | Published by a reputable outlet, not yet official. |
| Rumor / Leak | Unverified; treat with caution. |
| Analysis / Opinion | Our interpretation, clearly marked as such. |
We never present a rumor as a fact, and we never invent stats. Placeholder data on unfinished database entries is labeled as such until verified.
Fact-checking
Before publishing, we verify each factual claim against its source, cross-reference where possible, and confirm numbers (prices, speeds, damage, locations) against official material or in-game testing. Pages show a "Last updated" date so you know how current they are.
Corrections
We fix errors quickly and transparently. Minor typos are corrected silently. For factual corrections, we update the page and, where the change is significant, note what changed. If you believe something is wrong, email editorial@gta6home.com and we'll investigate.
Editorial independence
GTA6Home earns revenue from display advertising and affiliate links. This never influences our content. Advertisers and affiliate partners get no say in what we cover, how we rate things, or what we recommend. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains the commercial relationships in plain terms.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to assist with research organization and drafting at scale, but every page is reviewed and verified by a human editor before it is published. We do not publish unreviewed, auto-generated content, and AI is never a substitute for sourcing and fact-checking.
Freshness
GTA 6 will keep changing through reveals, launch, and post-launch updates. We revisit and re-verify content on that cadence and re-date pages when we do.
