On this page
Current status
- Current status: Reported from photos on X and one news write-up (Beebom).
- Last verified: October 29, 2026.
- What is confirmed: nothing official. Rockstar and Miami-Dade haven't announced the sign.
- What is not confirmed yet: who paid for it, how long it stays up, and the exact spot.
What happened
Reported (Beebom): @AHOLSNIFFSGLUE, who has been documenting Miami's GTA 6 makeover, posted "a picture of the iconic 'Vice City' being constructed by a crew somewhere in Miami" (Beebom).
Reported (X): asked where, the same user replied "McArthur causeway" (X). GTA 6 Info reported the sign "along Miami's MacArthur Causeway" via @OfficialJoelF (X). By evening, posters said the "whole VICE CITY sign" was finished (X).
The in-game sign
Reported (Beebom): the Vice City sign was first seen in Rockstar's official screenshots. Beebom compares it to the Vinewood sign, which "was never officially recreated in real life" (Beebom). Browse the official screenshots.
Part of a bigger Miami campaign
Reported: the sign is part of a run of Miami tie-ins, including Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell pop-ups, and Miami-Dade's own Vice City branding package (thegta6news). See Miami-Dade's Vice City branding and Vice City marketing in Miami.
Analysis: given how Rockstar has run its Miami activations, it's likely official, but we've seen no statement saying so.
Confirmed vs rumored: Vice City sign
| Claim | Status |
|---|---|
| Sign built in Miami on Oct 28 | Reported (photos, Beebom) |
| Location: MacArthur Causeway / Watson Island | Reported (X posts) |
| Built by Rockstar | Unconfirmed |
| Permanent | Unknown |
The bottom line
Analysis: if you're near downtown Miami, it's an easy photo stop, but don't stop on the causeway itself. We'll update this when Rockstar or the county confirms the details.
