Current status

  • Current status: Branded beach hardware photographed on/near the sand; city negotiation authority voted earlier; signature status murky as of mid-October reporting.
  • Last verified: October 16, 2026.
  • Official sources checked: The GTA 6 News roundup citing Miami New Times, city resolution coverage, GTA BOOM, fan photographers.
  • What is confirmed: A 4–3 vote authorized negotiation; gear has been photographed.
  • What is not confirmed yet: A publicly confirmed signed contract and official start memo.

What the photos show

Reported (The GTA 6 News):

  • Custom Vice / VI logo beach chairs arriving (samchrme photos, widely reshared).
  • Additional sand setups and Vice-colored loungers in follow-up clips.
  • Fan accounts saying Boucher Brothers umbrellas and chairs go out from October 16 through December 2026 — that schedule is Reported, not a city press release we can quote here.

Pair with planes and cars the same week: NINE1NINE banner, Miami cars.

The city vote vs the signature

Reported:

  • September 10: Miami Beach commissioners voted 4–3 to let the city manager negotiate with Amplify Marketing Inc. for a campaign that could put discreet Vice City / VI marks on chairs and umbrellas, described as worth up to $4 million to the city (Miami New Times via The GTA 6 News).
  • October 12: reporter Joel Franco said the city told him the deal was still unsigned and a October 15 start was "most likely not" happening (GTA BOOM via The GTA 6 News).
  • October 14–15: gear photos appear anyway.

Analysis: A vote to negotiate is not a signed contract. Marketing hardware can still show up while lawyers finish — or a vendor can stage assets early. Label each claim separately.

The bottom line

Vice is on the sand — paperwork may still be catching up. Enjoy the chairs; quote the city vote and the unsigned caveat in the same breath.
