Current status

  • Current status: Two days of Spotify daily chart data are public (October 16 and 17).
  • Last verified: October 19, 2026.
  • Sources checked: Kworb (Spotify chart aggregator), spotify-top.com, Apple Music listing, Rockstar's launch trailer page.
  • What is confirmed: the song is out on streaming services and is used in the launch trailer.
  • What is not confirmed yet: official totals from Spotify or Rockstar, Billboard chart positions, and later daily charts.

Day-one chart numbers

Reported (Kworb, from Spotify's daily charts):

ChartOct 16 positionOct 16 streams
Global#412,129,960
United States#27598,112
United Kingdom#49147,507
Canada#2498,897

On October 17 it fell to #108 Global with 1,372,112 streams. Kworb's running total of chart streams across both days is 3,502,072. That counts only streams on days the song charted. It's not the song's lifetime total. spotify-top.com tracks the same chart history.

How to read these numbers

Analysis:

  • A #41 global debut for a trailer song is strong, since it arrived mid-week with no album around it. Hit singles typically debut much higher. The fair comparison is other game-trailer songs.
  • The day-two drop is normal for a song driven by a single event (the October 15 trailer). Watch whether it climbs back near launch, when the radio stations and album arrive.
  • Chart streams undercount. Spotify's public charts only list songs above each day's cut-off, so plays in non-charting countries are missing.
  • Don't trust round "X million in 24 hours" claims on social media unless they cite a chart or Spotify's own figures.

Where the song comes from

Confirmed: Rockstar's launch trailer page features "Flower in a Hurricane". The single is on streaming services, for example Apple Music, credited to Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar's Spotify partnership goes back to album-cover-style billboards in LA, New York and Miami in September (GTA BOOM). The score side is in our Justice score guide.

The bottom line

"Flower in a Hurricane" made a solid top-50 global Spotify debut and then cooled, which is typical for a trailer-driven release. Expect a second wave around November 19, when the album and in-game radio arrive.
