Clusters of glowing settlements scattered across a dark neon state seen from above at night, the cities of GTA 6's Leonida.

Current status

  • Current status: Two named settlements; six named regions; more visible than named.
  • Last verified: July 2, 2026.
  • Official sources checked: Rockstar GTA VI site, trailers, screenshots.
  • What is confirmed: the names and descriptions below marked Confirmed.
  • What is not confirmed yet: every unnamed town, and whether other Florida-analog cities exist in the game.

The confirmed settlements and regions

Rockstar's own material names exactly this much:

PlaceTypeWhat's official
Vice CityMajor cityThe anchor — beaches, downtown, neighborhoods across both trailers
Port GellhornPort townNamed region + visible industrial-coast footage
Leonida KeysIsland-chain regionCauseways and island towns visible, none named
GrassriversSwamp regionAirboat country; scattered structures visible
AmbrosiaInland regionSugar-industry framing; small-town footage
Mount KalagaHighland regionWilderness; minimal settlement shown

The structural read: one metropolis plus one secondary town plus rural regions — closer to San Andreas' city-and-country rhythm than GTA 5's single city (Analysis on the comparison; the names are Confirmed).

Visible but unnamed: what the footage shows

Official material shows settlement footage beyond the two names (observation of official material — placements are Analysis):

  • Keys island towns — marina strips and stilt-house clusters in trailer flyovers, mapping to Florida Keys settlement patterns.
  • Ambrosia's small-town main streets — diners, agricultural lots, motel strips in screenshots.
  • Grassrivers outposts — fuel docks and swamp-adjacent structures.
  • Highway-corridor sprawl — gas stations, strip malls, and motels between regions, the connective tissue the mapping project places along inferred routes.

Every one will presumably carry a name at launch — Rockstar's worlds name everything — but none exists officially today.

The speculated cities: Orlando, Tampa, and the wishlist

The recurring speculation, graded honestly (all unconfirmed):

Speculated analogBasisGrade
Orlando analog (theme parks)Florida logic; zero footageSpeculation — no evidence
Tampa analogGulf-coast position could fit Port Gellhorn insteadSpeculation
Key West analogKeys region confirmed; endpoint town plausiblePlausible but unnamedthe real-places guide maps it
Gainesville/Tallahassee analogsNothing points north-Florida urbanSpeculation
A second full metropolisNo footage supports oneUnlikely (Analysis) — Vice City is clearly the city

The pattern worth internalizing: Leonida is Florida-inspired, not Florida-complete — Rockstar compresses and remixes. Expecting every real city has always been the wrong model.

Confirmed vs rumored: map-cities claims

ClaimStatus
Vice City and Port Gellhorn namedConfirmed
Six regions namedConfirmed
More settlements visible in footageConfirmed (unnamed)
An Orlando/theme-park citySpeculation — zero evidence
A second metropolisUnlikely — Analysis

The bottom line

Two names — Vice City and Port Gellhorn — six regions, and a state visibly dotted with towns awaiting launch-day nameplates. Anything listing more cities is guessing. The map hub tours the confirmed world, and the Florida guide maps each region to its real inspiration.

Frequently asked questions

What cities are in GTA 6?
Two are named: Vice City (the Miami-inspired anchor) and Port Gellhorn (a Gulf-coast port town). More settlements are visible in footage but unnamed.
Is Orlando or Tampa in GTA 6?
Nothing suggests it — no footage or official material points to theme-park or Tampa analogs. Treat those as pure speculation.
Is Vice City the only big city in GTA 6?
By all evidence, yes — Port Gellhorn is a smaller port town, and the other regions are rural or wilderness. No second metropolis appears anywhere.
What are GTA 6's six regions?
Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga — all officially named by Rockstar.
Will there be a Key West in GTA 6?
The Leonida Keys region is confirmed, and an endpoint town in the Key West mold is plausible — but no such town has been named.
