Cyberleek's GTA 6 Build Threat: Where It Stands After 'The Leeks Stop Here'

On this page
Current status
- Current status: No full build released. Cyberleek says leaks have stopped "for now" but has hinted at a dead man's switch.
- Last verified: October 23, 2026.
- Sources checked: GamesRadar, Kotaku, PCMag, dogry.com.pl.
- What is confirmed: GTA 6 still launches November 19, 2026. Rockstar hasn't commented on the build threat.
- What is not confirmed yet: whether Cyberleek actually holds a full build, and the outcome of any legal action.
What happened
Reported (GamesRadar, October 11):
- Cyberleek, who had already posted GTA 6 footage, threatened to upload a playable build "from start to finish" if a memecoin tied to the account reached a $30 million market cap.
- The offered way out for Take-Two: physical disks and a public apology.
- GamesRadar reported the leaker had earlier made about $250,000 from the scheme. The consumer campaign Stop Killing Games publicly distanced itself from the methods.
Reported (Kotaku, October 14):
- In an "End of the road" post, Cyberleek wrote: "The 30M was not reached, so no build."
- Also: "Uploading 200+ GB anonymously is a serious risk."
- And: "The leeks stop here. For now."
- Kotaku says Cyberleek withheld the game's ending, threatened a dead man's switch, and denied the memecoin was a rug pull.
Take-Two's response
Reported (PCMag): PCMag reports subpoenas aimed at Microsoft and Discord in an effort to identify the leaker.
Reported (dogry.com.pl, October 22): Polish outlet dogry.com.pl reported on Cyberleek's conditions to Rockstar and Take-Two again this week, which shows the story is still circulating ahead of launch.
Analysis: Take-Two has historically pursued leakers through the courts. Nothing public suggests the launch date is at risk.
What it means for players
Analysis:
- Spoilers: clips and story details are still floating around. If you want to go in blind, mute keywords like "Cyberleek", "GTA 6 ending" and "GTA 6 build" until launch.
- Scams: fake "GTA 6 download" and "early access" links spike around leaks. There is no legitimate early build. Anything offering one is malware or a scam.
- Crypto: the memecoin is unconnected to Rockstar. Treat any "GTA 6 token" as a risk.

The bottom line
The full-build threat didn't happen, but it isn't fully off the table. Cyberleek's own wording is "for now". Stay off leak links, mute spoilers if you care, and ignore anything promising early access.

Frequently asked questions
- Did Cyberleek leak the full GTA 6 game?

- Is Cyberleek still leaking GTA 6?
- Cyberleek said 'The leeks stop here. For now.' and mentioned a dead man's switch, so more leaks can't be ruled out.
- Is GTA 6 delayed because of the leaks?
- No. GTA 6 is still set for November 19, 2026, and nothing suggests the leaks changed that.
