GTA 6 Murals: Brooklyn's Hand-Painted Wall and the Hollywood and Vine Mural

On this page
Current status
- Current status: Both murals are finished, and the Hollywood wall got a touch-up on October 18.
- Last verified: October 19, 2026.
- Sources checked: GTA BOOM (Colossal Media's Instagram confirmation), Rockstar Report, thegta6news, HappyGamer, Vice Central.
- What is confirmed: Colossal Media's own statement that it is painting GTA 6 murals.
- What is not confirmed yet: an official Rockstar post about the Hollywood mural, who painted it, how long either wall stays up, and whether more cities will get one.
Brooklyn: the Colossal Media wall
Confirmed (painter's statement). As GTA BOOM reported, Colossal Media wrote on Instagram: "Twenty-two years ago, we painted our first campaign with our very first client, @rockstargames... From Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004 to GTA 6 in 2026, tradition continues."
- Where: Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. GTA BOOM says the same corner carried a GTA V mural in 2013 (Reported).
- How: brush-painted, not a printed vinyl wrap. The company tags this work #alwayshandpaint.
- What it shows: Jason and Lucia, palm trees and the game logo (Rockstar Report).
Hollywood and Vine: the LA mural
Reported, with photos and timelapse. thegta6news puts it on The Lofts at Hollywood and Vine, the Equitable Building at 6253 Hollywood Boulevard:
| Date | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 14–15 | Painters on lifts block in purple and the word "Grand" | Reddit clip via GTA 6 Countdown (Vice Central) |
| Oct 15 | iGrandTheftAuto names the building and street number | thegta6news |
| Oct 17 | Finished: GTA logo, VI mark with "November 19, 2026", Rockstar logo | GTA 6 Intel photos via thegta6news |
| Oct 18 | Jason's face retouched, all lettering completed | GTA 6 Countdown via thegta6news |
thegta6news says the finished wall shows the GTA logo, the VI mark with November 19, 2026, and a small Rockstar Games logo, which points to a paid ad. iGrandTheftAuto says it uses the unedited Jason and Lucia beach key art with the gun kept, like the Brooklyn wall (Reported, fan identification). HappyGamer also reports it finished. Early posts got the building wrong (some called it "Grand Budapest Hotel 2"). The 6253 Hollywood Boulevard address comes from later posts and is the most consistent one.
The Jason face retouch
Reported. After the October 18 touch-up, fans shared close-ups and argued about whether the new face was better. That's community chatter, not news about the game. Analysis: muralists working from key art often do a last pass on faces once they can see the wall from the street. It says nothing about Jason's in-game model. For what's actually confirmed about the character, see our Jason guide.
Also in LA (Reported): on October 18, fan accounts photographed a printed Jason and Lucia wall wrap and a digital billboard at Sunset Boulevard and Poinsettia Place (listed as 1500 N Poinsettia Pl), with a "Plays Best on PS5" badge. Street View history suggests it's a rented ad space, not a new mural (thegta6news).

The bottom line
Brooklyn is the officially acknowledged, hand-painted callback to San Andreas. Hollywood is a big, well-documented second wall that Rockstar hasn't commented on. Both show the same Jason and Lucia key art and the November 19 date. The Paris and U.S. billboards that removed the guns are covered in our Paris ad guide, and the Miami stunts in our Miami marketing guide.
