AnyPS5 and 'GTA 6 on PC at Launch': A Fact-Check

On this page
Current status
- Current status: Unproven. No public evidence of GTA 6 running on PC.
- Last verified: October 14, 2026.
- Official sources checked: Rockstar's GTA VI page (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only).
- What is confirmed: nothing about AnyPS5 and GTA 6 — Rockstar and Sony have not commented.
- What is not confirmed yet: whether any converted PS5 build of GTA 6 will ever work.
What AnyPS5 is
Reported. Per Decrypt, AnyPS5 is an open-source, AI-assisted project on GitHub that converts PS5 game executables into programs that run natively on PC, swapping Sony's system libraries for its own — it's not a classic emulator. A community tracker lists more than 180 PS5 titles that have been tried, but "only a handful have been verified as playable."
The project went viral on X, with posts like this one pitching it as a way to play GTA 6 on PC. Those posts are hype, not evidence.
The roadblocks
- No public build (Reported): as of October 12, German site ViceGuide found no proven route to play GTA 6 on PC via the PS5 scene.
- Firmware (Rumor): dataminers claim GTA 6 will require PS5 firmware 14.10 or later, beyond the current "Relapse" jailbreak (13.60). Rockstar and Sony haven't confirmed it (per ViceGuide).
- Updates (Reported): Decrypt says Discord members expect delays, since converted files would need reworking for new firmware.
- A jailbreak isn't a PC port (Analysis): opening a console doesn't make a game run on a PC.
The 'GTA 6 decompiled' claims
Rumor — no evidence found. Some posts on X claim GTA 6 has been "decompiled" or will be on PC "before launch," often stacking AnyPS5, the Cyberleek leaks and the 2022 source-code breach into one story. No reputable outlet has reported a GTA 6 decompile, and the final game hasn't shipped. For what was genuinely leaked in 2022, see the 2022 leak.
Safety note: "GTA 6 PC download" links are a classic malware lure. Don't run them.
