Current status

  • Last verified: October 16, 2026, against official Rockstar pages only.
  • Official sources checked: Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 highway signs.
  • On our map: the GTA6Home map · VCI Airport pin detail page.
  • Pin status: Rockstar hasn't said which region VCI Airport is in, so it is not pinned. It's listed under Unassigned among the 38 sourced locations rather than placed by guesswork. The satellite-style base map, roads and place names on /map are unofficial and will be replaced with the real map after launch on November 19, 2026.

What the signs actually say

Two separate signs name the airport (Shown in trailer):

TrailerSign textExtra detail
Trailer 1 (~0:24)"West to [interstate] Kelly County – VCI Airport"Points west, alongside Kelly County
Trailer 2 (~0:36)"VCI Airport / Ambrosia"On a US 35 North shield, with a plane overhead

Both trailers use the same name, so "VCI Airport" is about as solid as a trailer-only name gets. "VCI" reads naturally as Vice City International (Analysis). Rockstar hasn't spelled it out.

What the signs tell us about location (Analysis)

Read carefully, the signs suggest:

  • The airport is reached by highway from the Vice City road network.
  • It's signposted together with Kelly County going west and Ambrosia going north on US 35, so it probably sits on the inland side of the city.
  • Miami International Airport sits west of downtown Miami, which fits that reading.

Signs give direction, not distance. That's why we haven't drawn a pin from them.

Why there's no airport pin yet

Our rule is that a place only gets pinned when Rockstar confirms its region. No official text puts VCI Airport in Vice City or anywhere else, so it sits on the map's Unassigned list with a place card. Any runway you think you see on the satellite-style base map is part of the unofficial backdrop, not a Rockstar source. We'll pin it after launch on November 19.

Franchise history

2002's GTA Vice City had Escobar International Airport, and GTA 5 had Los Santos International. A big international airport has been standard in 3D-era GTA cities, so VCI Airport fits the pattern. Whether you can fly from it in GTA 6 is not confirmed.

The bottom line

There is an airport, VCI Airport, and the signs point to it from Vice City's highways. Where exactly it is stays unknown until launch. See the full locations list and the Trailer 2 guide.
