That's it. Rich material — the setting guide tours all of it — but zero cartography. Rockstar has never shown the map as a map.

When a GTA 6 map crosses your feed, it's one of four things:
- The community mapping project — honest fan cartography built by triangulating official footage; credible as evidence, never official. Usually labeled as fan-made; often re-shared without the label.
- 2022 leak-derived layouts — sketches from the breached dev build; dated and unreliable years later.
- Pure fabrications — polished fakes styled like Rockstar art, often with "leaked official map" captions. The polish is the tell: real leaks look rough.
- GTA 5's map re-skinned — lazy fakes recycling Los Santos geography with new labels.
The one-step check, as always: if it isn't on the Rockstar Newswire or the official site, it isn't official — and no map has ever been.
When will Rockstar show the real map?
