GTA 6 Launch Trailer: Everything Rockstar Revealed on October 15

• What is confirmed: the trailer, its song credit, the official story blurb, and the November 19 date.
• What is not confirmed yet: whether more trailers are coming before launch, and which console model was used for capture.

Confirmed. Rockstar's description, quoted by VGC: "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."

Rockstar's trailer page credits the music as the debut of "Flower in a Hurricane" from "original score composers Justice feat. Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard." The same page lists the official video history: Trailer 1 (December 2023), Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025), An Extended Look (August 27, 2026, 26:48), and now the Launch Trailer.

What outlets saw in the footage (Reported. This is their reading of the trailer, not a Rockstar plot summary):

• Jason's past: VICE says the trailer establishes Jason used to be in the army, didn't leave on good terms and struggles to get work.
• Lucia in jail: VICE also says we see Lucia calling Jason from jail before they reconnect.
• The relationship: Game Informer calls it the "presumed final trailer." It says the video gives "a little background on Jason" and hints at "physical and emotional strife."
• Adult content: Polygon and GameSpot both mention a steamy shower scene. Polygon says the scenes so far are framed so private parts aren't visible.

Character background: Jason and Lucia.

Confirmed: captured in-game on PlayStation 5, with PlayStation branding.

Reported, with a conflict: GameSpot and VICE say it was captured on a base PS5, not a PS5 Pro. VGC says Rockstar "doesn't specify" which model. Until Rockstar says so directly, treat "base PS5" as Reported. Performance context: GTA 6 FPS.

Analysis. Rockstar's name for it is "Launch Trailer," not "Trailer 3." VICE calls it "the third Grand Theft Auto VI trailer." That's fair if you count only the numbered trailers and leave out the 26-minute Extended Look. If you were searching for Trailer 3, this is it. Why Thursday: Game Rant points out that Rockstar's big GTA 6 reveals have landed on Thursdays since August 27. Launch day, November 19, is also a Thursday. That's a pattern, not a promise.
