What's in the box
Confirmed (item list per GameSpot):
- Six-inch Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment
- Matte black GTA 6 Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses
- New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback with Vice City Leonida embellishments
- Macca the Gator magnetic mirror
- Vice City swizzle spoon
- Vice City razor blade keychain
- Leonida Keys crossbody bag
- Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a custom metal tin
- Premium stickers in a stash bag
- Double-sided souvenir poster showing the full Leonida landscape
Not included: the game. The Verge quotes Rockstar: "Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately." The game costs $79.99 (Standard) or $99.99 (Ultimate). See Standard vs Ultimate.
The price, and the backlash
Reported. The Verge notes the price is well above Rockstar's earlier collectible sets: $90 for GTA IV and $150 for GTA V. GameSpot says early reactions online were "very critical" of the price. It also says eBay listings appeared quickly, as they did for the GTA 6 DualSense controllers.
Analysis: the drug-joke items (stash figure, mirror, "swizzle spoon," razor-blade keychain) fit the series' satire and its mature rating. They also make this a gift to check before buying for younger fans.
The cheaper option: the Rockstar Store GTA VI Collection
Confirmed product line, Reported item list. On October 8 Rockstar announced a separate "Grand Theft Auto VI Collection" of apparel and collectibles at the Rockstar Store. A fan Newswire tracker, CGN, summarizes it as logo and Macca the Gator tees, fitted caps, a keychain, a Vice City money clip and Zippo lighter, tote bags and stickers. Check the Rockstar Store for live prices.
Is the poster the 'physical map'?
Analysis. The double-sided Leonida poster is the only official paper map announced so far, and it isn't sold with the game. A rumor about a map inside physical game boxes is still unconfirmed. See does GTA 6 come with a physical map?
